Proposed Training Program for Developing the Performance of Administrative Staff in Saudi Universities in light of the Academic Accreditation Requirements

Abstract

The study proposed building a training program to develop the performance of administrative staff in Saudi universities in light of academic accreditation requirements. The study used the descriptive documentary approach to analyze the standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission for institutional and program accreditation and graduate programs in its advanced version (2022) in order to determine the training needs of administrative staff. Then the Delphi method was used through the participation of(60) experts from specialists in quality and academic accreditation in Saudi universities in multiple rounds which relied on the questionnaire tool to determine the degree of importance of training needs to develop the performance of administrative staff in Saudi universities in light of the requirements of academic accreditation, and the suitability of the proposed training program. The study reached various results, the most significant was the study’s experts’ agreement with a high percentage on (56) training needs, and their agreement on the suitability of the proposed training program was at a very high percentage. The study presented a proposed training program to develop the performance of administrative employees in Saudi universities in light of the requirements of academic accreditation, which included an introduction to the program, general objective, detailed objectives, training content, training methods, training tools, program duration, training program evaluation, and implementation requirements.
