The Effectiveness of A Training Program Based on Reciprocal Teaching Strategy to Develop Meta-Comprehension in Reducing Arabic Speaking Anxiety and Improving Academic Self-Efficacy among Non-Arabic Speaking Female Students.

Abstract

The current research aims to reveal the effectiveness of a training program based on the reciprocal teaching strategy for the development of meta-comprehension in reducing the anxiety of speaking in Arabic and improving the academic self-efficacy of a sample of (10) non-Arabic speaking female students, aged between (22-23). using the experimental design based on one experimental group, and the research tools were meta-comprehension, Arabic speaking anxiety and academic self-efficacy scales, in addition to the training program based on the strategy of reciprocal teaching, and the results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group scores In the pre and post measurements on the scale of meta-cognition, Arabic speaking anxiety and academic self-efficacy in favor of the post measurement, there were also no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the post and follow-up measurements on the meta-comprehension scale, Arabic speaking anxiety and academic self-efficacy; Which indicates the effectiveness of the training program used in the research.
