The Factorial Structure of The Digital Stress Scale Among Secondary School Students

Abstract

The current study aimed to verify the psychometric properties of the digital stress scale among secondary school students, and the scale was applied to a sample of (945) secondary school students, the digital stress scale in its final form consisted of (46) phrases distributed on six dimensions, (social acceptance anxiety, cyber risks, availability stress, Connection Overload, multitasking, Fear of Missing Out), the psychometric properties were verified as follows: To verify the validity of the scale, the Interrater validity and the structural validity of the digital stress scale were used among secondary school students using exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, and the results of the exploratory factor analysis of the first order after orthogonal rotation by the Varimix method and the Kaiser test resulted in the presence of six factors, and the results of the affirmative factor analysis resulted in the structural honesty of the scale, as the results showed that the indicators of good conformity to the affirmative model were within acceptable limits, and the values of standard saturations were all greater than (0. 5) All of them were statistically significant at the level of (0.01), and to verify the stability of the scale, the alpha-Cronbach equation was used for dimensions and total degree, and it turned out that all stability coefficients are high and acceptable.
