Strengthening the national identity of university youth towards new national projects From a community development perspective

Abstract

Therefore, the current study seeks to identify the level of awareness among university youth of the newly developed national projects and also to identify the reality of the role played by government institutions through university, media and youth institutions in developing awareness and correcting misconceptions among young people towards the new national projects to identify weaknesses to avoid and address them and identify On the strengths to develop and strengthen them, then identify the obstacles to strengthening the national identity of university youth towards the new national projects. In light of this, a plan is drawn up from the perspective of community development through the techniques, strategies and tactics of community development to enhance the national identity of university youth towards the new national projects. The current study used the descriptive approach to achieve this goal, and a tool for data collection, which is the questionnaire. It consisted of (45) phrases distributed on three main axes. The data was collected from a sample of (150) individuals from university youth in the various faculties of Al-Azhar University between and for girls, and the study reached a number of results. The most important of which is the presence of a deficiency in the level of awareness among university youth of the newly developed national projects, their importance and the feasibility of their establishment. A large segment of young people in the study sample sees that these projects are a drain on the economic resources of the state and that they are moving in a direction other than what the youth and society need. Also, a large segment of university youth sees The study sample is that the new national projects do not provide them with suitable job opportunities because they are in certain fields and are limited to certain specializations and are not diverse in order to open the way for large groups of young people to work in them. Social media and not from official or specialized sources and channels, and this certainly leads to the transmission of an incorrect or distorted image to the public The study also found that there are shortcomings in the official governmental roles to enhance awareness among university youth about the newly developed national projects, which is reflected on their national identity towards these projects. The university youth about the newly developed national projects, and the curricula do not deal with any scientific material about these projects. The study also confirmed that the official media institutions do not provide appropriate pages and social networking sites for university youth to follow and communicate with them, as social networking sites are the current alternative. The official media channels, which makes young people follow other pages that do not convey the truth correctly or completely. The results of the study also found that youth institutions, such as youth centers and clubs, are very few in conducting various competitions on the newly developed national projects and do not allow frequent trips and visits to the sites of these projects in order to Many young people are able to visit and see these projects on the ground and Interviewing officials and talking to them about these projects.
