The Role of Educational Technology in Enabling the ‎ Internationalization of Education among Students with Special Needs: ‎A Mixed Method Study

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the role of educational technology in enabling the ‎internationalization of education for students with special needs, from the perspective of a ‎sample of experts in the field of special education. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, ‎using a questionnaire as a quantitative research instrument and interviews as a qualitative ‎research instrument to achieve the study's objectives. The reliability and validity of both ‎instruments were ensured based on a methodological framework and the nature of the research ‎they are grounded in. Both instruments were administered to the target sample, and the ‎attained data was analyzed as the findings revealed:

the contribution of educational ‎technology to the development of special education in diverse educational ‎
the importance of educational technology in enabling the ‎internationalization of special education.
the enhancement of the role of educational ‎technology in achieving the internationalization of special education.
the potential for fully ‎achieving the internationalization of special education possible.
the promotion of support ‎for educational technology to highlight the international dimension in special education. ‎

The study provided a set of recommendations and suggestions related to its findings, ‎which are applicable in the field of special education.‎
