Abstract

     The current study aimed to identify the Islamic rooting for the requirements of preparing the pioneering teacher for sustainable development by clarifying the concept of the pioneering teacher for sustainable development, its characteristics, and the requirements to qualify him for the teaching profession in Islamic educational thought. The leading teacher of sustainable development is the one who precedes others, precedes them and becomes a role model for them. He is committed to continuous learning and self-development and his skills. He has the desire for change, motivation to work and achievement, the ability to take responsibility, and protect values ​​and morals in his community. He is also constantly researching and perusing in order to update his information. And stand on all the developments of science and its applications to benefit his nation, and this confirms the great responsibility of the teacher in achieving the goals of sustainable development, and bringing about the desired change in the awareness of individuals to advance their society, and for that it is necessary to prepare it according to certain characteristics such as; Sincerity in work, role models, justice and equality, dissemination of knowledge, continuous learning, and self-learning, as it is necessary when preparing to start from the philosophy of the Muslim community represented in the Islamic faith and culture, and the role of the teacher is not limited only to his work within the school, but extends to the community in which he lives through Doing guidance and counseling
