Abstract

The research aimed to identify the level of linguistic intelligence and to detect differences in linguistic intelligence and its dimensions in light of the different gender (male, female), The research sample consisted of (322) male and female students in the second year of Al-Azhar secondary school, in the center and governorate of Minya, between the ages of (16 - 18) years, the linguistic intelligence scale prepared by the researchers was used, The results of the research found that the responses of the sample individuals to the items of the linguistic intelligence scale and its dimensions tended to be medium level, and that the arithmetic mean of the scale dimensions ranged from (2.052 - 2.144), where the dimension (verbal comprehension) came in the first place, followed in the second place after (competence in using language), then in the third place after (verbal fluency), then in the fourth and last place after (ability to discuss and dialogue), The results also revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of males and females in dimensions and the total score in favor of females.
