A Suggested Proposal for a Program to Prepare a Teacher of Biological and Geological Sciences at the Faculties of Education, Al-Azhar University, in the Light of Egypt's Vision 2030

Abstract

  The purpose of this study was to develop a suggested proposal for the preparation program of biological and geological science teachers in Al-Azhar University education colleges in light of Egypt's Vision 2030. The research adopted the descriptive analytical method to analyze documents related to science teacher preparation programs in the biological and geological science branch for the academic year 2022-2023 at the Faculty of Education in Al-Azhar University in Cairo. The research also used the descriptive survey method to determine the suitability of the proposed program for the preparation program of biological and geological science teachers in Al-Azhar University education colleges in light of Egypt's Vision 2030, from the perspectives of experts and specialists. The sample of the study included documents, regulations, and program-related documents at the Faculty of Education in Al-Azhar University in Cairo, as well as experts and specialists in science education and science teaching at Egyptian universities. The results of the study revealed the suitability of the proposed conceptual framework for the preparation program of biological and geological science teachers in Al-Azhar University education colleges in light of Egypt's Vision 2030, from the perspectives of experts and specialists. Based on the research results, a set of recommendations were presented, including the translation of the proposed conceptual framework for the preparation program of biological and geological science teachers in Al-Azhar University education colleges in light of Egypt's Vision 2030 into an implementable format by the responsible authorities.
