The reality of professional practice of social work in applied technology schools and a proposal to improve it

Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the reality of the professional practice of social work in applied technology schools, and to know the obstacles facing the professional practice of social work in applied technology schools, and to know the proposals that contribute to activating the professional practice of social work in applied technology schools in the light of recent trends, leading to a proposed vision to activate the professional practice in schools. Applied technology, which is a descriptive study, and the researcher relied on the descriptive approach using the comprehensive social survey, and used the questionnaire as a main tool in collecting data from the field. The research was applied to all social workers working in these schools, who number (38) social workers. There are deficiencies in the knowledge, skills, and values of social workers in applied technology schools, as well as some obstacles that prevent the professional practice of the desired social service in applied technology schools. In order to achieve the best level of professional practice.
