The effectiveness of using the Microsoft Teams educational platform in developing some technical skills of Arabic language teachers in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of using the Microsoft Teams educational platform in developing some technical skills of Arabic language teachers in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. To meet such an end, the researcher made use of the quasi-experimental method, and a sample consisting of (60) teachers of the Arabic language in Al-Azhar primary stage were divided into two equal groups, one of which was the experimental group and the other was the control one. The results of the research revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores attained by the control group who were trained through the usual content, and the experimental one who were trained through a training program based on the technical approach in light of the cognitive achievement test and the performance skill observation checklist related to the technical skills. The results of the attitude scale towards training using technology for Arabic language teachers in Al-Azhar primary stage revealed identify the effectiveness of using the Microsoft Teams educational platform based on the technical approach. The study recommended the expansion of technology use in the training programs for teachers to develop technical skills, and interest in improving teachers' attitude towards technology and its use in teaching.
