The effectiveness of a proposed biology course in Developing Awareness Of sustainable development Dimensions for the agricultural high school students considering the labor market requirements

Abstract

The current research aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a proposed biology course in developing awareness sustainable development dimensions for the agricultural high school students considering the labor market requirements. Study tools and experimental treatment materials were built and they included an attitude scale a teacher’s guide and a student’s book for the proposed course. The researcher chose the experimental design that involved one group: an experimental group . The research sample consisted of (33) students of the agricultural high school, specifically Giza Agricultural Secondary School.  The researcher applied the research tools to the sample before and after, and he concluded the following: There is a statistically significant difference at the level of α ≥ 0.05 between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre and post application of the sustainable agricultural development attitudes scale in favor of the post application. Which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed course. The research has recommended several recommendations, the most important of which is the inclusion of the two lists of labor market requirements and sustainable development competencies in biology courses.
