Status of the prevailing values in the entrepreneurship institutions in the Egyptian society

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the status of the prevailing values ​​in the entrepreneurship institutions in the Egyptian society from the perspective of experts (from the faculty members in Egyptian universities), as well as to reveal the extent of statistically significant differences between the averages of the experts' responses due to the two variables: specialization, and university location. Accordingly, the study used the descriptive method, and the community was all experts from faculty members with specializations in education, economics and commerce in the Egyptian universities in the capital, Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt for the academic year 2021/2022 AD. The study also used a sample of (475) faculty members from the total study community who were chosen by random stratified method, and the study relied on a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. The study reached a number of results, the most prominent of which are: The estimates of the study sample members about the degree of achievement of the prevailing values ​​in the institutions of entrepreneurship in the Egyptian society are considered in mid-level in general.  As for the three fields, the "moral values" field came in the first rank, then the "institutional values" field came in the second rank. It is followed by the "Social and Economic Values" field in the third rank. Additionally, the study found that there are statistically significant differences between the arithmetic averages about the reality of the prevailing values ​​in the institutions of entrepreneurship in the Egyptian society, according to the variables of specialization and the location of the university in favor of education and the capital.
