Requirements of Employing Artificial Intelligence Applications in Pre-university Education in Egypt

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the most important requirements of employing artificial intelligence applications in pre-university education in Egypt. To achieve such goal, the descriptive-analytical approach was used, to illustrate the concept of artificial intelligence, the educational theories that support it, identifying its patterns, characteristics, and the importance of employing them in the educational process in pre-university education. The most important obstacles of employing artificial intelligence applications in pre-university education were presented. In addition the most important requirements for employing such applications in pre-university education in Egypt were classified into material, technical, organizational, human, and ethical requirements. The study recommended the need to take measures at various levels to achieve a comprehensive digital transformation to reduce digital gaps and ensure equal opportunities to benefit from the use of artificial intelligence, the importance of input artificial intelligence into education curricula in line with the requirements of each stage of pre-university education, and the adoption of mechanisms for regulation and governance, with regard to the national strategy for artificial intelligence, setting priorities for its work that suit the state and society, plus securing sources of public and private funding and eligibility for it. In addition to educating Segments of society about the concept of artificial intelligence and the importance of employing it in the educational process.
