Internationalizing Al-Azhar’s Pioneering Education in Light of the Requirements of the International Labor Market: Science Education as a Model

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a suggested proposal based on the requirements of the international labor market which may contribute to enhancing the education of natural sciences among learners, accompanied by executive mechanisms that emerged from the intellectual framework and the research vision and its field results. The research used the descriptive approach to investigate the theoretical research variables with the aim of revealing the degree of availability, importance, and the existing link between them and the dimensions of internationalization of Al-Azhar’s pioneering education in light of the requirements of the international labor market from the viewpoint of experts in natural sciences education. The research Instruments included a questionnaire tackling the first points (the international movement of natural science mentors and teachers - natural sciences curricula and activities - internationalization of action research - development of entrepreneurial skills), with the aim of attaining a future vision for the internationalization of Al-Azhar’s pioneering education in light of the requirements of the international labor market from the viewpoint of natural science education experts through the proposed scenario. The results of the research concluded that the responses of the target sample as a whole recorded a relative weight at a weak level. The suggested proposal was developed in light of the mechanisms activated in light of the dimensions of internationalization. the research recommended the necessity of a total review of the natural sciences curricula and the development of an ambitious strategy to develop them in accordance with the requirements of the international labor market.
