Abstract

The present research aimed at consolidating the international citizenship values from an Islamic perspective.. The study adopted and used the fundamentalist approach. Results of the research revealed that the international citizenship values are considered an essential part of Islamic education. The international citizenship culture, its values, principles, and foundations are rooted in the legal texts in the Holy Quran, the Sunnah and in the Islamic educational thought, before what mentioned in many international conferences and global organizations. However, the international efforts that the global organizations have contributed on awaking the world about the need to pay attention to global citizenship, especially those that are consistent with Islamic rules, cannot be underestimated as a way of life for the present and future generations. Among the most prominent of these values are: peace, tolerance, equality, dialogue and solidarity.
