Abstract

The study aims to identify the intellectual capital requirements at Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University in order to achieve the competitive advantage by identifying the reality of the university's intellectual capital requirements in the field of teaching, scientific research and community service. and then provide mechanisms proposed to know the requirements of the intellectual capital. In order to achieve these goals, the descriptive survey method was relied on, as well as the questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting information. The questionnaire consists of (113) phrases that measure (4) axes. As well as the research community consists of all faculty members (assistant professor level and above) in the faculties of Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University in the city of Riyadh, and their number amounts to (1198) members. The sample of the study was (293) faculty members at the university, that is (24.45%) of the study community. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The degree of consent (neutral) by the study sample' individuals on the reality of the university's intellectual capital requirements in the field of teaching averaged (3.26 out of 5). The degree of consent (neutral) by the study sample' individuals on the reality of the university's intellectual capital requirements in the field of scientific research averaged (3.19 out of 5). As well as the degree of consent (neutral) by the study sample' individuals in the field of community service averaged (3.15 out of 5).. In addition, the study sample' individuals agreed on the proposals to develop the intellectual capital at the university in order to achieve the competitive advantage in the fields of teaching, scientific research and community service, with an average of (4.14 out of 5).
