The degree of the contribution of emotional stability to the professional maturity of first year secondary students in Karak Governorate

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the relationship of emotional balance with vocational maturity among first year secondary students in Karak Governorate (predictive study). The study sample consisted of (800) male and female students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the Crites scale of professional maturity was used and Developing the emotional balance scale after confirming the indications of their sincerity and reliability, the results showed that the level of emotional balance and professional maturity among the first grade secondary students was average, And having direct correlation between Emotional balance and professional maturity, and that emotional balance explains (0.335) of professional maturity, and there are statistically significant differences in the level of professional maturity due to gender  and in favor of males, while the results did not show any statistically significant differences in the level of emotional balance due to gender. The study recommended activating the role of the school counselor in holding continuous and intensive meetings for students during the Occupational choice and provide them with all that is new about the required, stagnant and saturated professions, and how to collect data on the desired professions, balance them and choose what suits their capabilities.
