The Reality of the Requirements for Activating Future Studies in Educational Research from Postgraduate Students’ Perspective at King Khalid University

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the reality of the requirements for activating future studies in educational research from postgraduate students’perspective at King Khalid University. To achieve this objective, the questionnaire tool was used in the study, which was applied to a random sample of (224) postgraduate students at College of Education, King Khalid University. The study concluded that the level of availability of academic and research requirements to activate future studies in educational research from postgraduate students’perspective was moderate. The most available academic requirements was "development of students' personal skills, such as organizational skills, prioritization and communication with others" with an arithmetic mean of (3.35). While the minimum available academic requirements was “holding English language courses to improve students’ English skills, thus they can use it in English research literature in future studies” with an arithmetic mean of (2.29). The most available research requirements was “encouraging creative thinking in educational research” with an arithmetic mean of (3.11). While the minimum available research requirements was “practical training on future studies methods, such as scenarios, Delphi, etc.” with an arithmetic mean of (2.55). The study found a number of recommendations to strengthen the necessary academic and research requirements to activate future studies in educational research.
