The necessary professional competencies to prepare a faculty member in the light of the new university formulas "Future Vision"

Abstract

The issue of preparing a university faculty member and providing him with the professional competencies necessary for him is one of the pivotal issues for the advancement of the educational process, especially after the multiplicity of patterns and formulas of university education in light of the waves of technological and technical progress, as well as the contemporary changes that accompanied the emergence of some new formulas for university education, and then the research targeted Answering questions: What is the intellectual framework for preparing a faculty member in contemporary educational literature? What are the most important global variables and their repercussions on the process of preparing a faculty member? What are the most important new university formulas and their implications for preparing a faculty member? What are the professional competencies required for preparing a faculty member? In light of the new university formulas from the point of view of experts? What is the proposed vision for the professional competencies necessary to prepare a faculty member in the light of the new university formulas? The research used the quantitative descriptive approach, using one of the methods of future studies, which is the (Delphi) method. The tool was applied to a sample of education experts at Al-Azhar University, consisting of (25) faculty members. It is compatible with each of the new formulas adopted in the research.
