Social welfare policies for prisoners in Egypt and achieving social security - an analytical study

Abstract

With the increasing importance of social welfare and its consideration as a basic social system, social policy has become of concomitant importance, since it is responsible for the social care system to carry out its functions in serving society as aspired. The civil society explains the programs and methods of estimating and following them up according to one or more plans to meet the needs and general societal issues with the aim of achieving equality, social justice and social security for all members of society. Social welfare policies for prisoners are one of the most important social care policies, as justifying directing efforts to study social welfare policies for prisoners is that money that is spent Penal institutions and prisoners, especially in light of the difficulties borne by the state in providing these financial funds and the optimal use of those expenses and the increasing interest globally and locally in prisoners, especially with regard to their human rights by human rights organizations, as well as the steady increase in the number of prisoners, which gives a strong indication for the study of social welfare policies and saving The point of care is for them in a way that supports social security and then achieves the desired development. If it is based on the extent of what you achieve in terms of social security for them, the stability of society will be because it is one of the basic elements for the stability and development of society, and then the current study came in order to determine (the reality of existing welfare policies - aspects of strength and aspects of weakness - The return of the policy represented in achieving social security) which is a descriptive study that used the case study approach using a guide to analyzing the content of the social welfare policy for prisoners in Egypt. The study reached an alternative policy to the current policy to achieve social security for prisoners.
