Abstract

This research aimed at exploring the impact of a training program from the social work general practice perspective for enhancing moral values among Al-Azhar University fresh students. The study followed the experimental method and used the moral values scale (prepared by the researchers). The study sample consisted of two groups (a control group and an experimental group), each group consisted of 30 students from the faculty of education first year students from the educational technology and libraries department, the academic year 2022/2023. The research results revealed the effectiveness of the training program from the perspective of general practice in social work in enhancing moral values among the study sample. There were differences between the pre and post measuring of the moral values scale’s total degree in favor of the post-measuring, where the average of the pre-measuring of the scale’s total degree was (37.96), while the average of the post measuring of the scale’s total degree was (194,37).The research recommended the need to hold training courses to develop positive values among university students, especially the values of taking responsibility, cooperation, giving and justice, whose degrees were low among the students. It is also necessary to hold training courses to inform university students of the need to stay away from engaging in some negative behaviors such as cheating. The study also recommended the need to hold training courses, seminars, and lectures for faculty members on cultivating moral values among students.
