A Suggested proposal to develop digital competencies for teachers of general secondary education in Gharbia Governorate in the light of digital transformation

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the reality of digital competencies among secondary school teachers in Gharbia Governorate, and to develop a Suggested proposal for developing digital competencies for general secondary education teachers in Gharbia Governorate in the light of digital transformation. descriptive method was used,It eached (423) teachers, distributed according to the variables of (sex, job grade / years of experience.among secondary school teachers in Gharbia Governorate data and grades on the Excel program, The study developed a proposed concept aimed at developing digital competencies, including the competencies of dealing with computers, the most important of which are: the lessons are prepared in the form of electronic slides on the power point program, and competencies for designing educational content, the most important of which are: the use of digital technologies and multimedia in the preparation of educational lessons, the use of all information about educational content using digital multimedia, downloading educational content through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and the competencies of using the Internet in education, creating my own e-mail at the Internet, dealing with Office365 applications efficiently, dealing with the Edmodo platform, using unified school e-mail, and competencies for dealing with electronic cloud applications, the most important of which are: building the teaching plan using Google docs, sending assignments to students via Google Classroom, conducting electronic tests online Storing student achievement files through Google drive. Competency development is based on a set of procedural requirements, the most important of which are: Describing the digital competencies necessary for the teacher and including them in teacher preparation courses in the faculties of education.  The Develop of training plan for teachers to train them on digital competencies. Increasing the budget for training programs by the Ministry of Education. Providing web networks in schools free of charge to facilitate teachers' access to them and access to information and knowledge easily and easily. Facilitating teacher access to educational platforms through special portals.
