Cyberbullying and its relationship to some psychological variables among university students

Abstract

The subject of the study is cyberbullying and its relationship to some psychological variables among university students, and the study aimed to identify the victims of cyberbullying from university students, and to identify the form of the relationship between cyberbullying and psychological resilience among university students, And also to identify the form of the relationship between cyberbullying and academic reluctance among university students, in addition to identifying the form of the relationship between cyberbullying and the motivation of academic achievement among university students, and finally to know the extent to which cyberbullying can be predicted among university students through psychological flexibility, academic procrastination and academic achievement motivation, The research sample consisted of (405) female students of the Faculty of Human Studies, Al-Azhar University, and the researcher used the electronic bullying scale (prepared by / researcher 2023), the psychological flexibility scale (prepared by / Connor and Davson 2003), the academic procrastination scale (prepared by / Saadi 2020) and the academic achievement motivation scale (prepared by / Al-Ghamdi 2009), The results of the study found that there is a negative correlation between cyberbullying and psychological flexibility, and also indicated that there is no correlation between cyberbullying and academic delay, and also a negative correlation between cyberbullying and academic achievement motivation, and finally cyberbullying can be predicted through the degree of psychological flexibility, academic reluctance and academic achievement motivation
