Abstract

The current study aimed to measure the secondary school teachers' viewpoints towards the Madrasati platform in teaching English in Jeddah Governorate. The research used the descriptive survey method by applying a questionnaire during the year 1443-2022 on a sample of (122) male and female teachers and they were chosen randomly. The apparent validity was checked and the questionnaire was presented in its initial form to a group of arbitrators, and the questionnaire was modified in the light of their opinions and observations to come up with the final form of the tool. 0.92, which is a high value. The research concluded with several results, most notably: teachers’ readiness towards e-learning using the Madrasati platform, and their acceptance of the Madrasati platform as an example of an e-learning style, in addition to its benefit to acquire new skills that helped them keep pace with technology and perform their work tasks. The results showed statistically significant differences in their views in regard to the age variable, and there were no statistically significant differences for the variables (gender, experience, educational qualification). It also became clear that one of the most important obstacles they encountered was the difficulties of uploading work, tasks and duties on the platform, and a small percentage of the study sample indicated dissatisfaction with e-learning as a type of education, in addition to the lack of confidence in remote interaction between teachers and students.
