Abstract

This study aimed at uncovering the effect of Class Dojo program on the modification of negative behaviors and enhancing positive behaviors among third grade basic stage students, and on their achievement in the Arabic language subject. In addition to answering the question is there any significant statistical differences in students’ behaviors (negative and positive) before and after applying the program? In order to achieve the goal of the study the researcher used the one-group design with both the pre and post measurement. The researcher developed an observation card that consisted of (21) behaviors and he prepared an achievement test that consisted of (20) items. After they were both checked for validity and reliability they were distributed to the participants of the study who were (16) male and female students. The results showed a significant statistical differences in the mean scores of the unaccepted and accepted negative behaviors in favor of the unaccepted ones, which means that the program contributed in decreasing negative behaviors. The results also showed a significant statistical differences in the unaccepted and accepted positive behaviors in favor of the accepted ones, which means that the program contributed in reinforcing positive behaviors among the students. In addition, the results also showed a clear improvement with a significant statistical difference in students’ achievement in favor of the post test. The study then presented a number of recommendations.
