Abstract

The study aims to identify the effectiveness of using (Jigsaw 2) strategy in the Hadith curricula to develop the social skills among intermediate school students. the research uses the experimental approach with a quasi-experimental design based on two groups, the experimental and control, taking into consideration the pre and post performances. the researcher designed a special scale to measure social skills in one aspect, (manners forbidden by Islam) on the third intermediate grade female students. the study sample included (36) female students studying in the third intermediate grade, and covered two semesters. The students were chosen randomly.   the sample included the third intermediate grade (A); to represent the experimental group, and the third intermediate grade (B) to represent the control group. the study concluded several findings, the most important of which are: There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (∝ ≥ 0.05) significance between the average scores of the students of the two experimental and control groups in the post application of the Cooperation Skill Scale, in favor of the experimental group. - There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (∝ ≥ 0.05) significance between the average scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in the post application of the Dialogue Skill Scale, in favor of the experimental group. - There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (∝ ≥ 0.05) significance between the average scores of the students of the two experimental and control groups in the post application of the Responsibility-taking Skill Scale, in favor the of the experimental group. - There is a statistically significant difference at the level of (∝ ≥ 0.05) significance between the average scores of the students of the two experimental and control groups in the post application of the Communication Skill Scale, in favor of the experimental group. - In this study it was found that the value of the Eta square for all social skills (cooperation,  dialogue, responsibility-taking, and communication skills) reached (0.47, 0.34, 0.27, 0.31), a value that exceeds the value which indicates educational significance of the statistical results in educational and psychological researches, which is (0.14). This indicates the existence of a great effect, with educational significant when using the (Jigsaw 2) strategy in developing intermediate school students, social skills.
