A proposed Strategic Map for Balanced Performance as A Model for Improving the Strategic Performance of Universities in Community Service

Abstract

The study aimed to design a proposed strategic map to improve the strategic performance of universities in community service. In view of the vital role that universities play in serving society because of their position and trust among all members of society and its institutions; It has made its role in community service one of the most important university jobs, especially in light of the successive changes and developments, in addition to the reflection of the quality of the roles and tasks played by universities in community service on their competitive advantage and ranking in various international classifications. The balanced performance model was chosen as the optimal model to achieve this goal because it is a tool for measuring, planning, managing, improving and developing strategic performance simultaneously. The study used the descriptive approach to analyze the dimensions of the balanced performance model, It also relied on the phenomenological approach in analyzing the function of universities, and the reality of their strategic performance in community service, in addition to the strategic planning method based on the balanced scorecard planning model. In light of the data and results, the study came out with the design of a Proposal strategic ma to improve the strategic performance of universities in the service of society, according to the balanced performance model.
