The Effectiveness of a Program Using Behavioral Skills Training Strategy in Improving The Social Use of Language among Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract

The Current Research Aims to improve the Social use of Language (Pragmatis) among a Sample of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through a Training program based on the behavioral skills training strategy (BST). Accordingly, the researchers prepared and applied the program, and then measured its Effectiveness. The Researchers Chose (5) Children Aged (6-9) years with an Average age of (7,60) and a Standard Deviation of (0,1) and their Intelligence Level Ranged from (90-110) with a Mean of (102,20) a Standard Deviation of (4,66), and a Simple Severity level Ranging from (58-65) with a mean (61,40) and Standard Deviation (2,70) The Researchers Used the Following Tools: The Social Use of Language Scale (2020) Prepared By the Researchers, Gilliam Scale for Autism Diagnosis, Third Edition Translation and Codification (Adel Abdullah, 2020), The Training Program (Prepared by the researchers), and the Results of the Study Indicated the Effectiveness of the Program in Improving the Social use of Language Among Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the Research Sample, and the Survival of the Effect of the Program After the Follow-up Period.
