The Relative Contribution of Emotional exhaustion and Self-efficacy in predicting Self-stigma among a sample of sons of Divorced.

Abstract

 The current research aimed to identify the relationship between self-stigma and emotional exhaustion, as well as to identify the relationship between self-stigma and self-efficacy among the research sample of sons of divorced children, and also aimed to reveal the differences in self-stigma in the light of the variables of gender (males - females) and residence,  With the father / with the mother), and revealed the role of emotional exhaustion and self-efficacy in predicting the self-stigma of the research sample, The main research sample consisted of (150) male and female adolescents whose ages ranged between (12-14) years, with a mean of (12.51) and a standard deviation of (1.43) ,The researcher used the comparative descriptive approach to achieve the objectives of the research, and to verify this, three scales were applied: the self-stigma scale (prepared by the researcher) the emotional exhaustion scale prepared by (the researcher) and the self-efficacy scale (prepared by the researcher), Statistically at the level of significance (0.01) between the dimensions of the self-efficacy scale and the total score and the dimensions of the self-stigma scale and the total score, and the research results indicated that there is a positive, statistically significant correlation at the level (0.01) between the students’ scores on the dimensions of the self-stigma scale and the total degree and their scores on the dimensions of emotional exhaustion scale and overall score, The results of the research indicated that there were differences between the study sample on the scale of self-stigma with a different variable (gender), and the differences were in the direction of males, and the results also resulted in the absence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) in the total degree according to the variable “residence (with the father), (with the mother), and the results indicated the contribution of both emotional exhaustion and self-efficacy in predicting the self-stigma of the sons of divorced and their feelings and help them to realize themselves to overcome the troubles they face and to reach good sons in society.
