Research chairs are an entrance to increase the scientific productivity of faculty members in Egyptian universities

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of research chairs in developing the scientific research system in Egyptian universities, and their role as well in increasing the scientific productivity of university faculty members, and providing all aspects of support and assistance that researchers need to prepare more scientific research, transfer their pioneering ideas and apply the results of their research within Industry and production sectors, and the study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, to determine the conceptual framework of research chairs, scientific productivity, and the factors affecting them, and to analyze indicators that clarify the status of research chairs in relation to scientific productivity. The results of the study concluded that there is an urgent need to increase scientific productivity in Egyptian universities. Through research chairs, investing outputs and improving the quality of scientific publishing in universities, encouraging all individuals working in the academic community to innovate and creating, developing international scientific publishing skills among researchers and faculty members in universities, building knowledge societies, and achieving cooperation between researchers in scientific disciplines of all kinds to achieve Knowledge integration, achieving excellence in scientific research, as well as This aims to achieve the competitiveness of Egyptian universities.
