The state of the art of using mobile learning technologies in the educational process by the Department of Chemistry female students from the point of view of female faculty members and students at Umm Al-Qura University

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the state of the art of the use of mobile learning technology in the educational process by female students at the Department of Chemistry from the point of view of the faculty members and students at UmmAl-QuraUniversity. The descriptive analytical approach was adopted to answer the questions of the study. The tools of the study consisted of a questionnaire that was administered to the faculty members of Chemistry regarding how female students use mobile learning technology from their point of view. Another questionnaire was administered to the students about their use of mobile learning technology from their own point of view. Results of the study showed that the degree of using the mobile learning technology by the students from the point of view of the faculty members and by the students from their own point of view  was (very high). The results did not show any statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in the degree of using mobile learning technology  by female students. The study recommended adopt teaching methods and strategies that activate the use of mobile learning in the education more broadly. Recommendations include expanding the use of mobile technology Mobile learning in the education, developing systems and guidelines that help achieve the optimal education goals for students.
