Abstract

The current study aimed to determine the effectiveness of using the Numbered Heads Together Strategy in teaching Civics on the development of cultural security, psychological flexibility and achievement motivation among first-year secondary school students.         To achieve this goal the researcher prepared the following tools for measurement: Cultural Security Scale consists of (a scale in the affiliation dimension - an achievement test in the cognitive dimension( - a measure of psychological resilience - a measure of achievement motivation.     Then a sample of first-year students in a secondary school was selected ,  One-group experimental design was followed , then the research tools were applied on the study group, and the selected unit was taught, then the post-application of the study tools was done. The results of the current study confirmed the superiority of the post application than the pre application, which confirms the effectiveness of the numbered heads together strategy in developing cultural security, psychological flexibility and achievement motivation among first year secondary students.
