Abstract

The study aims to develop a teacher preparation program in the College of Basic Education (CBE) by integrating the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge model (TPACK (in teaching methods courses, train students to teach using the TPACK model, and evaluate the training program. The study used the descriptive approach by building a tool that evaluates existing training programs based on the TPACK model. The tool was applied to 272 students. The results demonstrate that the program was evaluated with an average of (4.37), regarded as “very high”. The items earned averages ranging between (4.49 to 4.37), also regarded as “very high”.  this confirms training program’s ability in strengthening teacher’s performance and technological skills. The findings support the development of teacher preparation programs in the College of Education, as well as updating their structures using the Technological Pedagogical and content knowledge model. The study recommends organizing training programs periodically for faculty and training staff members for the purpose of discussing the technological developments and the implementation of modern strategies in education.
