A Suggested conception to enhance the culture of knowledge sharing at Al-Azhar University As an entry point for achieving institutional excellence

Abstract

Owning and sharing knowledge is one of the most important factors that support the excellence of educational institutions, especially universities. The knowledge owned by institutions cannot be used well except in the presence of a high degree of knowledge sharing among its employees through specific and clear mechanisms that enhance this culture , Institutional excellence is considered as a framework that provides an integrated vision for the university, and helps it keep pace with global developments. The concept of institutional excellence has received global attention, and has become a contemporary entry point for development and creativity. It has also become an inevitable issue that all universities seek to achieve, to increase their competitive capabilities locally, regionally and internationally, and the university has obtained arrangements High in international rankings , The current study aimed to present a proposed scenario to enhance the culture of knowledge sharing at Al-Azhar University as an entry point to achieve institutional excellence. It has a role in achieving institutional excellence in the field of education, scientific research and community service, and the results indicated that knowledge sharing practices were high on the personal level and low on the organizational level, and that there are several obstacles to knowledge sharing, including the lack of material and moral incentives that enhance knowledge sharing,The weakness of the organizational structure supporting knowledge sharing, the weakness of the technological structure necessary to facilitate knowledge sharing, the absence of a culture of knowledge sharing, and the weak skills of teamwork and participatory work among faculty members.
