Personality patterns among students of educational qualification at Al-Azhar University according to the perception of (Ibn Abd Rabbo Al-Andalusi)"A field study"

Abstract

The research aimed to study personality patterns according to the perception of (Ibn Abd Rabbo Al-Andalusi) in his book (Al eqd Alfareed), in which he classified personality according to the psychological tendency that distinguishes between the royalty (scientific) self, the angry self, and the bestial (sensual) self, the researcher designed a scale for patterns Personality according to this conception, then  It was applied to a sample of (1482) male and female students enrolled in the General Diploma in Education (Educational Qualification) at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University, for the academic year 2021/2022 AD. The results revealed that the most common personality pattern among the study sample is the (royalty self) pattern that is interested in science and scientific research.  The study also concluded that there are statistically significant differences according to the academic specialization variable (legal “ Sharai” and Arabic - languages and sociology - applied sciences) in the most common royal personality pattern in favor of the legal and Arab specialization, followed by applied sciences, then languages and social studies. The study recommends the need for community institutions to raise the value of Scientific research and the upbringing of learners to love science and enhance motivation towards scientific research.
