The reality of School Effectiveness in General Secondary Schools in Cairo Governorate "A field study"

Abstract

     The current study aimed at identifying the reality of School Effectiveness in Public Secondary Schools in Cairo Governorate from the point of view of principals, vice principals and teachers. It also aimed at presenting a set of proposals that may contribute to improving school effectiveness in public secondary schools in Cairo Governorate. The study used the Descriptive Method and used a questionnaire as a tool for data collection. It was applied to a sample of (710) members of principals, vice principals and teachers in Public Secondary Schools in Cairo Governorate, The results of the study showed that the reality of School Effectiveness in Public Secondary Schools in Cairo Governorate was in the "medium" category, in terms of the degree of availability with an arithmetic mean (1.93), The Organizational Health Dimension came in the  first place with a “medium” degree of availability, with an arithmetic mean (2.00), followed by the Teacher Empowerment Dimension in the  second place with a “medium” degree of availability, with an arithmetic mean (1,91), followed by the Effective School Leadership Dimension in the Third place with a “medium” degree of availability, with an arithmetic mean (1,89), The study also presented a set of proposals to improve School Effectiveness in Public Secondary Schools in Cairo Governorate.
