Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the challenges facing faculty members in Al-albayet University at Mafraq Directorate in Jordan. Moreover, exploring the differences in those challenges according to gender, academic rank, college and experience. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach by administrating a questionnaire on a sample of (163) faculty members in Al-albayet University at Mafraq Directorate in Jordan. The findings showed that faculty members face big challenges especially in teaching domain then in professional development, while the social challenges came in the last rank with an average evaluation degree. Moreover, there were significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) attributed to gender in all domains except for social challenges domain in favor of females. There were no significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) attributed to colleges in all domains. There were significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) attributed to experience variable in all domains except for professional development domain. Based on the findings the researcher presented several recommendations.
