Abstract

The study aimed at the Islamic rooting of the life skills contained in the life and family skills course for the first intermediate grade for the first semester. The study used the descriptive method relying on the deductive approach. Among the most important results is that Islam includes the orientations that guide the Muslim to work with the necessary life skills to achieve success in his life and in the afterlife. The Islamic religion has taken the lead in guiding individuals and societies to acquire life skills and motivating them to practice them before other educational philosophies. By inferring life skills from the sources of Islamic law, and from the Islamic educational heritage. In light of these results, the study recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which were: citing legal evidence in the life skills course; linking students to the sources of the Islamic religion, and conducting more research and studies related to the Islamic rooting of educational sciences in general, and the issue of life skills in particular.
