The role of the media in strengthen the accountability value among youth from educational Islamic perspective

Abstract

The research aims to identify the role of the media in enhancing the value of accountability among young people, and to achieve this goal, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, which includes the study and analysis of documents and references related to the topic of the research. in addition, the researcher presented a theoretical framework in which she addressed the role of the media in enhancing the value of accountability among young people from the perspective of Islamic education. The theoretical framework discussed values in general, especially the value of accountability and other values ​​associated with it from the perspective of Islamic education. The researcher discussed the media and its importance, especially in this era, witnessing rapid developments in all areas of life which have the greatest impact on young people. In light of the emergence of the new media that uses the Internet, social media, and other applications that serve media institutions in achieving their roles, which have become strongly influential in the youth of the nation. One of these roles is to define the value of accountability and its associated values ​​such as accountability, follow-up, responsibility, transparency, and other values. The researcher theoretically provided adequate information about the value of accountability in Islamic educational thought and other associated values, explaining the importance of the value of accountability, its conditions, levels, educational and social effects, and factors of promoting the value of accountability among young people. Then the researcher made procedural recommendations to activate the role of the media in enhancing the value of accountability among young people.
