The role of Saudi women in establishing the educational process: Princess Effat Al-Thunayan "Model"

Abstract

The issue of girls' education in schools and institutes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has fluctuated between acceptance and rejection for years, until it found the driving force to accelerate its dissemination. This was the wise policy adopted by the state and the policy of gradualization was adopted so that individuals would accept the idea of ​​educating girls. When the press raised the issue of Saudi girls 'education and increased the thought directed towards their education, which led to a rise in voices calling for the establishment of girls' schools. Princess Effat Al-Thunayan, the wife of King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, was one of the first to advocate women's education. She had great efforts in this, and was able in her wisdom, wisdom and culture to establish the first women's school in Jeddah (Dar Al-Hanan) in 1955.  The importance of the study highlights the importance of women's pivotal role in education in the Saudi society based on the importance of the subject. Princess Effat Al-Thunayan is the pioneer of the first Saudi women's education at the foundation stage. This study is based on historical analytical methodology based on the collection of data and information on women's education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the efforts of Princess Effat Al-Thunayan, and analytical presentation of information and interpretation, to obtain results.
