The Role of High School in Activating the Values of Project “Maximizing the Holy Makkah” from the Viewpoints of Teachers

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of high school in the activation of values of the project “Maximizing the Holy Makkah” from the viewpoints of teachers, and to identify the roles of the school administration, the teacher, the school curriculum and student activity. The researcher made use of the descriptive approach, both screening and comparative, and the population of the study included (3020) teachers at the secondary stage. The study sample was consisting of (400) teachers at the secondary stage, and a questionnaire was used for collecting the study data including (44) items divided into four dimensions. The first dimension addresses the role of high school in the activation of values of sanctification of the Holy Makkah and included (11) items, and the second dimension tackles the role of high school in the activation of the value of increasing determination to do good deeds in the Holy Makkah and included (11) items. The third dimension included the role of high school in the activation of cooperation values to make Makkah the best environment that helps doing virtuous, and morals and included (11) items. The fifth dimension included the role of high school in the activation of the values of dealing with visitors to the Holy country of Allah and included (11) itmes. The results of the study revealed that the role of high school in activating the values of the project “maximizing the Holy Makkah” is moderately approved.The study also recommended holding seminars and periodical meetings with managers and teachers at secondary schools on how to activate values of the project to maximize the Holy Makkah among students.
