Abstract

The current research aimed to determine the relationship between excessive use of electronic applications and both sleep disorders and academic procrastination, and to verify the possibility of predicting excessive use of electronic applications with the knowledge of both sleep disorders and academic procrastination among university students. (450) students from Al-Azhar University participated in the research, whose ages ranged between (19-23) years, with a mean age of (21.5) years, and a standard deviation of (1.86). The researchers used the measures of excessive use of electronic applications, sleep disorders, and academic procrastination (prepared by the researchers). The results revealed that there is a statistically significant positive correlation at the (0.01) level between excessive use of electronic applications and both sleep disorders and academic procrastination, and that excessive use of electronic applications is a statistically significant predictor of both sleep disorders and academic procrastination among university students.
