المستخلص

يتطرق هذا البحث إلى معياري معدل الثانوية والتحصيل الدراسي باعتبارهما من المعايير التي يتم على ضوئها اختيار الطلبة للتخصصات المختلفة في المرحلة الجامعية. وهدف البحث الى التعرف على قدرة معدل الثانوية العامة والاختبار التحصيلي في التنبؤ بالمعدل التراکمي لطلبة کليات التربية بجامعة الأمير سطام بن عبدالعزيز. من خلا اختيار جميع طلبة کليات التربية بجامعة الأمير سطام بن عبدالعزيز وعددهم (471) في المستوى الثامن. حيث تم الحصول على بياناتهم من قِبل عمادة القبول والتسجيل بالجامعة. اعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي، وتم تحليل البيانات. وکانت أهم النتائج مايلي: أن معدل الثانوية کان الأکثر تفسيراً في التباين في المعدل التراکمي، حيث فسر (52%) من التباين في المعدل التراکمي لطلبة کليات التربية، بينما الاختبار التحصيلي فسر (31%) من التباين في المعدل التراکمي لطلبة کليات التربية، والمتغيران معاً فسرا (32%) من التباين في المعدل التراکمي، وأن معدل الثانوية والاختبار التحصيلي معاً لديهما القدرة على التنبؤ بالمعدل التراکمي.
This study aimed to identifying the predictive reliability of the achievement test and the secondary school average in predicting the accumulative average for the students at Education Colleges, Prince Sattam bin Abdul-Aziz University (PSAU). The study adopted data derived from the secondary school average, achievement test, and the accumulative average of the students in the Education colleges, obtained from the Admission and Registration Deanship at PSAU. The research was based on the descriptive approach. The data were analyzed through the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences program (SPSS). The study revealed: the achievement test explained more of the variation in the secondary school average (52%), while the cumulative average GPA of the students Education colleges explained less (31%) of the difference in the students' GPA. Both variables explained (32%) of the variation of the GPA. Moreover, the secondary school average and the achievement test have the ability to predict the GPA. Finally, the study suggested several recommendations for introducing standards for admission to university studies.
