هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على الصعوبات التي تواجه طلبة الدراسات العليا بمؤسسات التعليم العالي في سلطنة عمان، ولجمع البيانات تم بتطبيق استبانة على عينة مکونة من (214) من هؤلاء الطالبة؛ وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن تقديرات عينة الدراسة جاءت متوسطة في المحاور التالية: الصعوبات الأکاديمية، الصعوبات الإشرافية، الصعوبات المتعلقة بالبيئة الجامعية، الصعوبات المتعلقة بجمع البيانات والنشر، في حين حصلت عبارات محور الصعوبات الاقتصادية على تقديرات کبيرة؛ کما أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير النوع الاجتماعي عند مستوى دلالة (a=0,05) لصالح الذکور، في حين لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية يمکن أن تعزى للمتغيرات التالية: التخصصات (العلمية - الإنسانية)، نوع الجامعات (حکومية - خاصة)، الدرجة العلمية (الدکتوراه - ماجستير)، نمط الدراسة (متفرغ –غير متفرغ)، طبيعة البرنامج (مقررات فقط، مقررات مع رسالة، مقررات مع اختبار شامل)، السنة الدراسية (أولى، ثانية، ثالثة، رابعة، تخرج من البرنامج حديثًا). أوصت الدراسة بإجراء دراسات أخرى لمعرفة تأثير هذه المتغيرات کما أوصت بإجراء دراسة تعنى بالکشف عن احتياجات طلبة الدراسات العليا في مؤسسات التعليم العالي في سلطنة عمان. وإجراء دراسة حول التحدّيات التي تواجه طلبة الدراسات العليا في سلطنة عمان من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين في العمادات والوحدات التي تخدم طلبة الدراسات العليا.
This study aimed at identifying the difficulties faced by postgraduate students in higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Sultanate of Oman from their point of view. In addition, it intended to identify any significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the average perceptions of the study sample due to the following variables: gender, specialization, university, degree (Master, PhD), mode of the study (full-time, part-time), degree structure (courses, courses and thesis, courses and comprehensive exam); and year of study (first, second, third, fourth, recently graduated). Using a questionnaire, data were collected from a sample of (214) postgraduate students. The findings of the study revealed that economic difficulties ranked first followed by academic difficulties, scientific research difficulties. In addition, there were statistically significant differences due to the gender, in favor of male students. There were no differences due to the other variables.
