The study aimed at identifing the Causalattributionpatternsof female students in Al-Jouf University, as well as exploring the relationship between attribution methods and depression. To achieve these goles, a sample of 300 female students from the Faculty of Education at Al-Jouf University, has been selected with average age (20.25 years) and standard deviation (1.23). The results indicate that the studens attributed their successful experience to internal factors, while failure is attributed to unstable factors, The results indicate that a positive correlation and significant difference between attribution of inside negative events and depression (0.46)Also the results indicate that there is a positive correlation between the pattern attribution of negative events to a stable factors and depression (. 49). The study concluded that 32% of depression can be interpreted by causal attribution.
