A Suggested Framework for A Training Program Based on Specialized Teacher Standards to Develop the Professional Performance of Female Arabic Language Teachers at The Primary Stage

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify specialized standards, diagnose training needs, and design a proposed training program to develop the professional performance of female Arabic language teachers in the primary stage. The study used the descriptive approach, and a questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data from a sample of (330) female teachers in the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The study revealed that the teachers' level of mastery of specialized standards and their training needs was moderate in the areas of grammar, morphology, literature, rhetoric, language skills, and teaching methods, with morphology topping the list of needs. Based on this, the study presented a proposed concept for a training program based on specialized standards to develop the professional performance of female teachers. In light of the study's findings, the researcher recommends designing and implementing ongoing, specialized training programs aimed at developing the specialized standards of primary school teachers. She also recommends providing ongoing educational support and supervision to teachers to help them apply the specialized standards. She also proposes developing a guide for primary school teachers that includes an explanation of the specialized standards and practical examples of their application in teaching.
