Evaluating the professional competence of physical education teachers using educational platforms at Al-Azhar institutes in Cairo Governorate

Abstract

The research aims to identify the evaluation of the professional competence of physical education teachers using educational platforms in Al-Azhar institutes in Cairo Governorate through:
- Identify the educational uses of educational platforms for physical education teachers.
- Identify the obstacles facing physical education teachers' use of educational platforms.
- Identify methods for developing the professional competence of physical education teachers when using educational platforms.
The researcher used the descriptive approach for its suitability and appropriateness to the nature of the research. The research sample was chosen intentionally, as it included (105) teachers as a basic sample, at a rate of (70%) of the original community. The researcher stipulated that the teachers’ teaching experience should not be less than (5) years.
The researcher used the questionnaire form to present it to the basic and exploratory research sample to know the extent of teachers’ response in using educational platforms and the obstacles they encounter during use. The most important results reached were that there is agreement among physical education teachers on the importance of using educational platforms.
Especially in light of any circumstances that may affect the suspension of the educational process, such as the Corona pandemic. There is a consensus on the need to provide and provide training courses to hone physical education teachers on how to use educational platforms.
There is agreement on the need for teachers to be familiar with all the latest developments in their field of specialization to enhance their professional competence. There is also agreement on diversifying the use of educational methods to accommodate individual differences among learners
