The research aimed to develop a scale for perceived self-efficacy and to verify its psychometric properties and validity for use by assessing its reliability, internal consistency, and validity indicators. To achieve this, the scale was applied to a sample of (286) students from the Faculty of Education at Al-Azhar University, aged between (17: 20)years, with a mean age of (18.54) and a standard deviation of (0.67), during the second semester of the (2023/2024) academic year. The researchers employed the descriptive statistical approach, and the results of the statistical analysis indicated the validity of the scale through content validity, as the agreement rate among the expert judges on the scale items and their association with the four dimensions ranged between 88.77% and 100%, which is a high agreement rate. Additionally, validity indicators were confirmed through confirmatory factor analysis, as all unstandardized regression coefficients were statistically significant at the (0.001) level, indicating the factorial validity of the scale based on the sample data, The fit indices also fell within the acceptable range, demonstrating that the confirmatory factor analysis model for the perceived self-efficacy scale matched the sample data, Furthermore, internal consistency indicators were evident, as all correlation coefficients between each item score and both the corresponding dimension score and the total scale score were statistically significant at the (0.01) level, Reliability indicators were also verified using Cronbach's alpha method, with the alpha coefficient for the scale dimensions ranging between (0.750) and( 0.835), and an overall scale reliability coefficient of( 0.938), which are acceptable values confirming the scale's suitability for use.
