The world is currently facing unprecedented challenges – social, economic, and environmental – driven by rapid globalization and a faster pace of technological and cognitive advancements. This is a result of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Simultaneously, this revolution has introduced countless innovations across various domains. Additionally, the opportunities for societal progress in the future remain uncertain and unpredictable. In order to adapt to the dynamics of this era, it has become imperative to reform our educational systems. The Fourth Industrial Revolution imposes numerous challenges on these systems and their future policies for preparing future generations capable of uplifting societies amidst digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.
This research aims to establish a set of prerequisites for professional development programs for teachers, considering the implications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The goal is to enhance the education system and improve the performance of teachers to achieve comprehensive development. Teachers are considered the primary driving force of the educational process and play a pivotal role in constructing generations that are aligned with the language of the era and capable of facing its challenges.
