Awareness of female educational rehabilitation students at Al-Azhar University about the requirements of marital life to prevent contemporary family problems with a proposed vision from the perspective of Islamic education

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the requirements of marriage life necessary to protect the wife from contemporary family problems, and to reveal the extent of the availability of these requirements among female students of educational rehabilitation at Al-Azhar University, and to determine the extent to which the availability of these requirements differs among female students of educational rehabilitation at Al-Azhar University according to the variables: marital status, type of  University education, place of residence, and proposing an Islamic educational vision to provide female students of educational rehabilitation at Al-Azhar University with the requirements for marital life necessary to protect them from contemporary family problems.
      The study used the descriptive approach, using a questionnaire, which was applied to a sample of (970) female educational rehabilitation students at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University, from (10) centers in the governorates of: Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Mansoura, Tanta, Beheira, and Beni Suef. Sohag, Luxor, and Aswan.
The results of the study reached:
- A list of the most important requirements necessary to protect women from contemporary family problems, consisting of (46) requirements, and that these requirements are available to female students of rehabilitation at Al-Azhar University.
- The availability of behavioral requirements came first, followed by emotional and finally cognitive, and the presence of a strong direct relationship between the dimensions of awareness of the requirements of marital life among female educational rehabilitation students, and the presence of statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample regarding awareness of the requirements of marital life according to the variables of marital status, type of university education, and place of residence. The highest averages were for the married category, the Azhariya category, and the Lower Egypt category, while there were no differences according to the age variable.
     The study also presented a proposed vision from the perspective of Islamic education to provide female students of educational qualification at Al-Azhar University with the necessary marital life requirements to protect them from contemporary family problems.
